In letzter Zeit habe ich immer öfter Meinungen von “Fachleuten” zu schwierigen Hunden und Rassen gehört.
In unserem Fall hauptsächlich zum Akita, da in unserem Haushalt ein dreijähriger Rüde lebt.
Hunde und ihr Verhalten,genauso wie unsere Kinder, sind zum großen Teil das Produkt von uns Menschen und unserer Gesellschaft.
In unserem Haushalt leben ein Akita Rüde und zwei Broholmer Hündinnen.
Alle drei sind auf ihre Art einzigartig und wir möchten keinen der Drei missen.
Der Akita ist nach Tervueren und Münsterländer mein dritter Hund gewesen.
Bei der Erziehung unseres Akita konnte ich neue Erfahrungen sammeln. Er ist anders, aber nicht schwieriger als viele andere Rassen.
Ich muss mich auf ihn einlassen und akzeptieren, dass er nicht diesen bedingungslosen Wille zum Gefallen hat, wie ein Goldi oder Labrador.
Aber wenn er mich als souveränen und gerechten Rudelführer akzeptiert, geht er für mich durch´s Feuer.
Wenn ich ihm klar mache, dass ich die Begegnung mit anderen Hunden im Griff habe, ist der Kontakt mit anderen Hunden nicht schwieriger als mit einem DSH oder Labrador an meiner Seite.
Der Akita ist intelligent und ich kann ihn beim Training nicht unbedingt mit Futter motivieren. Es muss für ihn Sinn machen und er muss verstehen warum er etwas tun soll. Er wird nie den Kadavergehorsam zeigen wie ein DSH. Ich persönlich (und viele andere) möchten das auch nicht. Wir möchten ein glückliches Hundeindividuum. Aufgrund seiner Intelligenz benötige ich im Training aber oftmals weniger Wiederholungen als bei anderen Rassen.
Wir sind im Japan Akita Club e.V und haben dort viele unkomplizierte Akita Persönlichkeiten kennengelernt, mit denen man sich völlig unkompliziert in der Öffentlichkeit bewegen kann.
Es gibt sogar Akita´s die im Wald frei laufen und sich problemlos abrufen lassen. Und das ohne Teletakt und Spray Commander, sondern nur durch die enge Bindung zu “ihrem” Menschen!
Kein Hund wird als schwieriger Hund oder Kampfhund geboren.
